Josef Kalvoda: "The Genesis of Czechoslovakia" - Chapter 15 - The Declaration of Independence (Washington), what really it was and how it was realized!
… As it turned out, the great majority of the Czechoslovak revolutionary (constitutional) National Assembly, established after the war, was in favor of Masaryk's views and paid no attention to the declaration of common goals of independent Central European views. The National Assembly did not derive its power from the consent of the ruling - it was not chosen by the Czechoslovak people, and the Czechoslovak Germans, Hungarians, Poles and Russians living in the country did not have the opportunity to "organize their own governments on such principles and in the form they believed would best support their welfare , safety and happiness." … The whole chapter 18. HERE. The book was first published in the US in 1986 (East European Monographs, Boulder, New York 1986) and in Czech Republic in 1998. We still live in a lie about our past. Číst dál |
